The Impressionist Pear Lesson by Dixon Ticonderoga is a comprehensive art lesson plan designed for first grade. It includes objectives, standards, vocabulary, materials, procedures, and engagement steps with visual examples of student artwork.

Impressionist Pear Lesson

Students will create a Post Impressionist effect using daubers, oil pastel, water color and colored pencil. Students will use geometric shapes and a contour line to create an organic shape, while learning how to create highlights and shadows, and how to use oil pastel resist.
